Leak Detection, Cut and Repair Pressure testing equipment and listening devices are used to detect leaks on the plumbing side of the pools system. Once a leak is detected the piping must be exposed. This is accomplished by cutting the pool deck and digging down to the plumbing level. The repair would then be made and another pressure test would be preformed to ensure that the repair was made successfully. The hole would then be backfilled and the deck concreted. Full repair as described above is generally $525. Pressure test only (to locate the leak) is $200.

Closings All closings include pumping down the water level, removal of deck equipment, blowing all lines and equipment, foaming and plugging pool lines and installing cover, water bags and/or safety cover. Pool closings range from $265 to $290 depending on the complexity and size of the pool. With the city now enforcing Municipal Code 681 it makes more sense than ever to use a certified Best Management Practices (BMP) company to close your pool. Dive, Search and Repair All dives are done by certified SCUBA divers who will thoroughly search the pool liner or shell for holes and leaking cracks. Once a suspect area is found the diver will use coloured dyes to determine if the area is in fact leaking. The area will then be repaired using the applicable patching method. Dive, search and repair calls are $200 for a CLEAN 16 x 32 or smaller pool. Additiional charges apply for extra large pools and cold water dives. Concrete patches are an additional $15 per repair and vinyl patches are $10 each.

General Repairs General repairs or service include liner tuck-ins, removing clogs from inefficient plumbing, isolating main drains, etc. A Minimum I hour charge will be billed for each call. An estimate will be given to the owner at their request during the first hour of service. General service is $75/hour.
Book your pool in for weekly, monthly or anytime maintenance. Platinum will vacuum your pool, check the water level, check the pool's chemistry and inspect the equipment. If you'd like peace of mind while enjoying your holidays, ask about our “pool sitting service”. Maintenance packages start at $65 per visit. Extra large pools 20 x 40 or greater start at $85. Extra charge may apply for exceptionally dirty pools.
Openings You can book your pool in for a full or partial opening at anytime. Book the week you would like to have your pool opened in advance to avoid disappointment. Full openings include pumping off the cover, rolling the cover for storage, removing all winterizing accessories and installing all deck equipment. The pump, filter and heater will be checked and connected for summer use and water will be added at owners request. Pool openings start at $285 for a typical size pool and a minimal amount of leaf debris.
When buying a home with a pool consider having it inspected thoroughly to avoid expensive repairs later. Platinum will visually inspect the pool and its equipment. All plumbing lines will be pressure tested and inspected for leaks. A SCUBA diver will briefly search the liner for any obvious holes or damaged areas. A written report will be given to the customer when the inspection is completed. This service starts at $240. Larger pools or pools with hot tubs or spas will have an additional charge applied.
